For this first weekend of the Brussels Neo-Classical Biennale (BBN), you'll explore a rich variety of heritage buildings while learning more about Neo-Classicism. On Saturday, you'll start your day at the former Grand Hospice whose two courtyard gardens are hidden gems of greenery that have been listed since 1997. On Sunday, you'll travel to the suburb of Schaerbeek to explore two exceptional buildings: the former country retreat of the Eenens family and the former studio of the painter Alexandre Markelbach.

Package Jupiter

Under the auspices of Jupiter, this first weekend of the Brussels Neo-Classical Biennale (BBN) sets the tone for the event: a palace, a former fashionable place of entertainment, a country house and an artist's studio – four guided tours that will create a portrait of aristocratic society in the period and will give you plenty to look at! On Saturday, you'll start your day with a guided tour of the Cercle Royal Gaulois: a prestigious building that was originally used to host entertainments for the aristocracy. Then continue your exploration by simply crossing the street to the Federal Parliament Building for a guided tour. It's the masterpiece of architect Barnabé Guimard, and its history- drenched interior is certain to impress you! On Sunday, you'll go to the suburb of Schaerbeek for an opportunity to explore an exceptional building: the former country house of the Eenens family. You'll round off your weekend with a guided tour of the former studio of Ernest Salu.

During the second weekend of the Brussels Neo-Classical Biennale (BBN), you'll explore a rich variety of heritage buildings while learning more about Neo-Classicism. On Saturday, you'll go to the suburb of Forest to admire the exterior of Forest Abbey in a guided tour. On Sunday, you'll head to the former studio of Marcel Hastir, a Neo-Classical townhouse that has retained its period atmosphere! Finally, you'll round off your Neo-Classical weekend with the beautiful Villa Lunden country house.

Package Minerva

Under the auspices of Minerva, this second weekend of the Brussels Neo-Classical Biennale (BBN) plunges you into the development of Brussels outside its city walls during the 1850s. On Saturday, you'll begin with the Leopold district, a prestigious development overlooking the city centre where aristocrats and the social-climbing middle classes moved to escape the noise of the city centre. Here you can explore the Hôtel Stanhope and the studio of Marcel Hastir: two Neo-Classical mansions that will create a period atmosphere for you! On Sunday, you'll travel along the wide boulevards laid out on the site of the second set of city walls to the Porte de Louvain. There you'll explore the interior of the former Charlier house, a huge mansion dating back to 1844 that was redesigned by Victor Horta in 1892! Then you'll travel along Chaussée de Louvain to arrive at the heights of the Linthout plateau, where you'll follow a guided tour of the beautiful former Villa Lunden country house!
