J.Culot House
This Neo-Classical-style townhouse was designed by the architect J. Culot and built in the Rue du Châtelain. Behind the façade hide some period fireplaces and mantlepieces, some original door handles and untouched staircases. The overall style is quite sober, but is worth a visit to see many original period details that have survived intact since 1880. An extra reason to visit is that, today, the building is home to the "Parachutist Agents' Fraternal Association" whose mission is to honour the memory of those who parachuted into Belgium during the Second World War. The building houses a small museum and remembrance memorial.
